Here we have Charlie Chaplin in a silent movie.Slap stick comedy at its finest. The little tramp finds his way to Alaska in search of his fortune.Unprepared it doesn’t take long for him to get lost in the snow and end up in the cabin of a wanted man. There’s a tussle and the big dude bolts it.So he’s holed up here for a bit then shoots a bear eats it and heads to the nearest town.He meets a girl he likes and then we have the classic Disney – Boy likes girl, boy not good enough for girl, girl leads him on,boy thinks its real, girl stands him up,boy crys and leaves. What a bitch. But wait!then the tramp who she was fucking with his head is now a millionaire! And they all lived happily ever after.Horse shit. This film was about 30 minutes too long.

OVERALL – GOOD SLAP STICK,BUT THE STORY WITH THE GIRL IS TRIPE.
John Carpenters The Thing is scary as shit.Good thing i was watching it at around 11a.m.The synopsis of the whole film is this:an alien lands on earth, gets frozen, thaws out and tries to assimilate everyone. There was just a few things I didn’t have a clue about.First an easy one;they find a space ship and not one person says alien once throughout the film.Secondly, here’s the big one,the alien attacks you and gets inside you and can control the human and all that. You’d think that’d be the end of it.But no,it has to have a massive scene where it explodes and another version of you comes out of it.what the fuck?Sure if it was already controlling you and had taken you over why this extra step?Major plot hole i think. But besides that stuff this is a good film.It has Kurt Russell, but when he was good,in it.It’s got some really tense looks back and forth between actors and has you questioning who may and may not be ‘a thing’.
