I know i have a good Natalie Porman gif somewhere.oh there it is….
Now that’s a fucking film.Excellent piece of work.Adapted from the graphic novel written by Alan Moore who also did The Watchman, which was fucking deadly, and produced by the Wychowski brother sister(ish) combo.Set in an Orwellian British Future V tells the story of a man who fights conformity and rallies the masses to say ‘no’ and question the government.Akin to Gilliams ‘Brazil’ or even ‘1984’ this is a gem. I’ve seen this film once before and had smoked a joint of headshop shit half way through and got confused as fuck when Portman was locked up and tortured.Second viewing sorted that right out. It’s hard to find flaws with this film.My main scruple would be the sound track.I do prefer a score but anyone who’s seen or read Watchmen knows Moore likes to pack in a few songs. After watching the credits i there i can say that Hugo Weaving does the voice of V.I knew it sounded familiar.Portmans accent was poor also.

OVERALL – A PIECE OF WORK.DOESN’T SPOON FEED YOU LIKE A LOT OF AMERICAN SHITE.
Another anime,i can honestly say i didn’t expect to see more than 1 on the list but this just goes to show that i don’t know shit. This ones is set 1000 years after the world is fucked. The bugs are huge and gang up to kill you.The air is full of toxic spores that’ll kill you.The land is buggered and the lakes are full of acid and not the good kind either. In the films there’s 3 rival groups,2 of them are assholes and 1 is a kind docile group. There’s a big ‘toxic forest’ that 1 group want to destroy thus killing all the bugs but the sound group is all against it.In the end up the message is: don’t stand on bugs and go plant a tree.

OVERALL – GOOD.SOME LAZY ANIMATION IN BITS.
P.S. Patrick Stewart voices a character and sounds a bit sleazy sometimes ala Extras and i thought i heard Bruce Willis in there but can’t seem to find him in the credits.
