100 – Die Hard (1988)

I watched Die Hard about 13 years ago and noticed this guy behind Willis looked like Paul Kernan.

Die Hard is probably one of the most over looked Christmas movies ever.I completely forgot it was a Christmas film until this re-watch.Die Hard deserves to be at place 100,nay it would deserve to be at 80 if i had my way. It’s got a good balance of action with comedy. The one liners and quips are good along with some visual humour too, like when the Asian guy gets hungry and starts to eat some candy bar.Willis is none to young in this, even in some parts he seems too old.But the appeal of him,he’s got that ‘everyman’ appeal to him.If you haven’t seen Die Hard i’ll explain it.Terrorists take over the Nakatomi building. They’re after $600 milllion in barabonds. Which are big A3 sheets of paper with not much written on them. This all happens during the companies Christmas party and Johns wife,Holly,is in attendance. So it’s left to John to get a signal to the police and save the day.Shooting, bombs and explosions ensue.
