so a giant , a Spaniard and paraplegic walk into a castle…

A good old eighties family romp here.I was amazed at how I’d never seen this when i was growing up.The Princess Bride is a swash buckling fantasy adventure love story thing. The humour in it is pretty good.It starts well and ends well, just seems a little sparse in the middle. Some quality lines from either Andre the giant or Domingo. The basic story is a couple are in love, they get separated and she thinks he’s dead.Reluctantly she gets taken to be married to the king. Her true love returns to get her back.It seems like a big enough budget film for the eighties. Also after looking at the end credits Mark Knoffler did the music for it.
