another accident in the ketchup factory

When i was in college there was this one lecturer who was always raving on about Sam Peckinpah, the writer/director of this film.As far as westerns go it’s not the best I’ve seen so far.The shoot-outs are great. Some amazing camera work in this films. The quick cuts and slo-mo shots of guys getting shot are pretty damn good for a 60’s film. The film’s about a gang or ‘bunch’ that are getting on a bit and are looking for the last big hit. They’re being pursued by some bounty hunters run by an old friend. There’s a load of scenes of  guys laughing. Not a great story,a slow burner but the cinematography is well good. The credits in the beginning freeze-frame on ever name so it takes about 5 minutes before the film starts.Did my nut in.
